LG has refused to release smartphones running Windows Phone, at least for a while. This official said the South Korean manufacturer at a press conference on the results of the last quarter. He confirmed that in the foreseeable future, the presentation of new models running Windows Phone is not expected, as the company plans to focus on the issue of smartphone platform Android.

LG refused to release smartphones on Windows Phone

LG has expressed confidence that the cooperation with Microsoft will remain at a high level, but focus on smartphones on Windows Phone has not brought tangible benefits. In an interview with The Korea Herald representative of the South Korean company said that sales of mobile devices on Windows Phone is very small.

LG was first reported on the profit for the last three months of 2011, after seven consecutive quarters of loss-making operation. Improving the financial performance of the company owes much to the growth of sales of Android-smartphone with support for networks, fourth generation 4G LTE.

Termination of support Windows Phone by LG is hardly good news for Microsoft, but the tragedy of it, too, should not do. Interest in smartphones on Windows Phone as an alternative to Android-smartphone and Apple iPhone mobile operators have shown AT & T and Verizon, and this may be the key to the success of Microsoft in the U.S. market.
